Can i use my macbook pro as the screen for a mac mini.

Simple..
- turn both machines off.
- boot the mac mini into target disk mode, (google for the shortcut, I think it is cmd-t..)
- connect a firewire cable from mac mini to macbook pro. (not sure if thunderbolt is supported as a boot method yet).
- boot the macbook pro, holding down alt key
- choose the mac mini hd when you get the screen, should be the one with the firewire icon.
- voila, your mac mini is using your macbook pro as a display ( well kinda, more like the macbook pro is using the mini as its boot drive.. ;))

買橄欖油 先搞懂5等級 - 從產品包裝上識別橄欖油的等級
市場上橄欖油品質良莠不齊，而大部分消費者又不具足夠的橄欖油知識，無法分辨優劣，以致劣質甚或假油充斥，使消費者常迷失於產品名稱優美、看似健康，而無端受損。
最明智的選擇是不迷失於特高價恆等於特高品質，雖說廉價買不到好貨，但高價未必全是上等貨，較可靠是選擇產品有被具公信力之機構認證。
進口業者指出，基本上，在西方先進文明地區，橄欖油命名是以油質特性，正確分為五等級供適當選用。第一級是特級冷壓橄欖油（Extra Virgin Olive Oil），為最高等級橄欖油，精選優質橄欖，手採，第一次以低溫冷榨方式壓出之油，酸度需低於1％，色澤、風味無瑕疵。
採自具有濃烈風味、卓越口感的橄欖果實，並呈現柔美的金綠色彩。以化學分析可揭開具充沛天然多酚抗氧化劑及全量橄欖營養物。耐熱160℃~180℃，適合中低溫烹飪。
第二級是冷壓橄欖油（Virgin Olive Oil），為第二次低溫榨取或採用第二級上好橄欖榨取之油，較為淡綠或黃色，稍甜，堅果口味。
此等級橄欖油比特級橄欖油有稍高之酸度及較淡之芳香風味，還有不很完美的油色。依國際標準，此種油酸度必須小於2％。
第三級是純橄欖油（100％ Pure Olive Oil），先前稱之為100％純橄欖油，如果榨出的油酸度高於3.3％，即不適合人類食用，必須經由氫化精煉去除之，油酸不能超過3.3％。
但此油為略低品質油組成，來自先前已榨取過之橄欖果粒，因此必須歷經加熱、高壓精煉及過瀘之過程，這種油再和少許之冷壓橄欖油（Virgin Oil）混合以添增較好色調和香味。由於延後榨取和一定程度之精煉過程，香味已平淡溫和，與濃郁的特級橄欖油相比，淡然失色，且油之稠度也變略為稀薄。耐熱210℃~230℃，適合高溫油炸。
第四級是淡味及超淡橄欖油（Light Extra Light Olive Oil），是從最後一次榨取而來，經由更長時的精煉過程，因此全是屬低品質等級，不具任何香味和色調，維一不變的是仍含有同量的單元不飽和脂肪，但可貴的多酚和礦物質已蕩然無存。
第五級是橄欖果渣（粕）油（Olive Pomace Oil），來自最後一次擠榨後棄置的乾固果泥。使用溶劑己烷粹取後，經除臭漂白，再調入少量冷壓橄欖油，則此油或可食用或為廉價餐飲業採用。但儘管如此，仍最好避免食用在油品成分標示內顯示含有果渣之油。
從橄欖油包裝上的英文和圖示可以準確地識別橄欖油的品質，購買到您想要的橄欖油。
用純粹物理方法冷榨出來的橄欖油:
★Virgin Olive Oil Extra
中文：標有來源或產地認證標誌的特級初榨/特級原生橄欖油
西班牙：Aceiti de Oliva Virgen Extra
該橄欖油中的omega-9單元不飽和脂肪酸，是目前公認對於心臟血管具有最佳保護效果的成分。因此建議您平時盡量選擇攝取冷壓的橄欖油，每日可以達到約20~30 c.c.，並且要以正確的調理方式食用，可幫助您對抗氧化，保護心臟血管，讓神經運作順暢，同時還可以讓皮膚和頭髮保持光澤。

.DS_Store (Desktop Services Store)，是Apple公司的操作系統創建的一個隱藏文件，目的在於存貯資料夾的自定義屬性，例如文件們的圖標位置或者是背景色的選擇。就像 Windows上的desktop.ini。當我們從Mac OS使用過的文件夾是寫入時，可發現這些自動生成的文件。

AirDrop settings
You can turn AirDrop on or off and control with whom you can share content using Control Center. Swipe up from the bottom of any screen to reveal Control Center. Tap AirDrop. Choose from one of the following: Off: Turns off AirDrop. Contacts Only: Your iOS device is visible only to your contacts. Everyone: Your iOS device is visible to all nearby iOS devices that use AirDrop.
When AirDrop is enabled, you can share content from apps such as Photos, Safari, Contacts, and more: Tap Share or the icon. If necessary, tap the content or additional items you want to share. Tap the name of a nearby AirDrop user or the iOS device. The other user receives an alert with a preview of the content you want to share, and can either accept or decline. If the other user accepts, the content will open in the application from which it was sent (for example, photos will appear in the Photos app, websites will open in Safari).

How to create multiple local websites on a Mac Mini with Lion Server
Lion Server comes with a basic web service with a default site. So you get that up and running, and you’re all wanting to use your Lion Server as a testing environment for several local sites, not just a single site (i.e with virtual hosts) . It was a bit of a pain for me to get that set up. Googling around to figure out how to do it resulted in me finding bunches of people complaining about how Snow Leopard was better for such things. I eventually figured it out, though, and pieced the instructions together here:
Enable the web server in OS X Mountain Lion
1. Open a terminal window (look in the Utilities folder for the Terminal app).
2. Type in the following command to start the web server (it will only run until you reboot your Mac):
sudo apachectl start
3. To run the web server permanently, use this command instead:
sudo defaults write /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.apache.httpd Disabled -bool false
Now the web server will launch each time you boot your Mac.

How to add website to Mac. Mini server...
With the Server app, you can host websites that you’ve created with web tools outside of Lion Server and copied onto the server Mac. You can replace Lion Server’s built-in site with your own, or you can add one or more sites.
Replacing the default wiki-based website is easy. Just use the same host domain name as the default and be sure to assign your Mac’s IP address to the new site. You don’t have to change any DNS settings.
If you want to run both the default site and your own, be sure to use a different domain name for the new site. Your DNS server will need to be configured to have the domain name resolve to the server IP address. With either option, the files for the default site stay in place and are not deleted.
To publish a custom website, either replacing the default site or adding to it, do the following:

Apple’s John Ive lends his touch to beautiful new
Leica makes some undeniably gorgeous cameras; but look what happens when it brings on board John Ive, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Design and noted industrial designer, Marc Newson. The Leica M is all anodized aluminum textures, leather detailing and laser machined parts.
The color scheme is mostly different shades of gray, with the only patch of brightness being the Leica logo in red. The overall effect is quite stunning as you can see from the pictures. The camera will be auctioned off on November 23 at Sotheby’s New York, as part of the Product RED charity campaign.

Apple to launch a new iPad on the 22nd of October
American Apple Inc. plans to launch a new version of the iPad tablet during a presentation, which will take place on the 22nd of October, Bloomberg reported, citing an informed source.
The company will demonstrate the new model of the device with a standard 9.7 inch wide -screen TV, as well as a smaller version of a improved mini iPad. The first will be even thinner and the second will be equipped with a high-definition screen, similar to the one used in the new iPhone. At the same time, presentation of a new operating system for the PC called Mavericks and launching of the desktop Mac Pro will take place.
The fact that Apple has planned to hold the presentation on the 22nd of October, was reported earlier by the edition AllThingsD. Representative of Apple, Trudy Muller declined to comment.
Sales of tablet PCs in the world has declined in the second quarter of this year by 9.7 % compared to the first three months - to 45.1 million, according to the research firm IDC. This has happened largely due to the lack of introduction of new products by Apple, which is a leader in this market.

Apple Releases OS X Mavericks 10.9 to Developers
Apple has released the gold master (GM) seed of OS X 10.9 Mavericks to developers. That means, unless any show-stoppers are found in the build, this is the one that'll be pushed out to customers everywhere later this month.
If you're a developer, head on over to the Mac App Store and update away. If you're not a developer, hang tight, it's almost here!
Registered Apple Developers have received invitations to download the final beta build of OS X Mavericks from the Mac App Store, as the company prepares to unleash the software to the public.
OS X Mavericks Developer GM seed carries the build number 13A598 and is labeled as “a pre-release version of OS X Mavericks.”
“To get OS X v10.9 GM seed, download from the Mac App Store using your download code,” Apple tells developers.
Scheduled to launch this fall, OS X Mavericks is the tenth major release of Apple’s desktop operating system and brings a host of new features, including iBooks and Maps for the first time on the Mac, Finder tabs and tags, enhanced notifications, iCloud keychain, and much more.

杜絕反式脂肪是世界趨勢
選購食品，不能只看保存期限
消費者要杜絕反式脂肪的入侵，必須靠自己。因為台灣現階段只規定包裝食品要標示含量，並沒有禁止使用。巷口的鹽酥雞、隔壁的麵包坊、美食街炒菜的用油……到底潛藏了多少反式脂肪，連廚師自己也不知道。
少吃油炸食物，是降低反式脂肪攝取風險的根本之道。
反式脂肪，披著植物油的外衣，骨子裡卻比動物油還可怕。
別以為這個陌生的名詞離我們很遠，事實上，不小心吃下肚的機會到處都是：麵包、餅乾、奶茶、奶油球、泡麵、蛋糕、炸雞、薯條、洋芋片、甜甜圈……，都可能含有。
